I really enjoy this. I can smell the cherry and that bombshell scent. I'm not sure if I enjoy it because it's nostalgic in a men's body wash kind of way. It's very masculine but I think I'm okay with it. And if I'm correct I think Bombshell has been known to smell a bit masculine. I'll have to wear it a few more times to know. It also smells a bit like pine. It's nice.

Catnipple

I had such high hopes when i blind bought this... it has such a masculine scent to it, i really don't think you should get it if you don't like colognes on you definitely don't recommend.

LMBelvi

Very nice initially but gone in heartbeat. For a rich cherry try cherry punk instead. And for a really sultry cherry it's bdk rouge smoking. I keep checking other cherry scents but I might be spoiled forever with those two.

jayanna

in lovveeee with how this smells.. bold, sexy cherries followed by a warm vanilla and soft, enchanting florals. its too bad that it doesnt last or project at all even while wearing the matching lotion 💔 wouldn't suggest a blind buy, rollerballs for many vs scents including this one tend to go for cheap during their sales

Scent: This is a very rich scent in the sense that it is very heavy/decadent. It has a deep, creamy, gourmand, non-synthetic vanilla base. The cherry is like a natural (i.e. not synthetic smelling) fresh cherry - to me it smells like a sour, semi-screechy cherry. I don't pick up on the peony too much, but I can detect some flower to balance things out a little. To me it smells like when something is so good that it is bad - this smells like being tempted into doing something that you don't want to do. It is enticing but almost too enticing. I wish there were some more flowers or a different fruit to just settle the richness of it down and make it more well-rounded.

Personal opinion: Not a safe blind buy. I think this is very different to usual VS scents. It is not light-hearted. For me it is just too rich and decadent. I'm trying to layer it with different scents but struggling to find something that will work with it.

Rating: 7/10 if you like very gourmand fragrances. Just not for me.

In my opinion, Victoria's Secret perfumes are equivalent to celebrity perfumes in terms of longevity and uniqueness. They're not that great but the expensive price point gives it the facade that its a little more fancy than it is.
With that being said the Bombshell line does last a little longer on the clothes than other VS fragrances, but this one specifically does not last at all, especially on the skin.
It is though one of the most unique scents I've smelled, it is definitely a dupe for Tom Ford and nothing else.
I have found it works best when layering with the lotion a d body mist.
Overall if you're debating on purchasing this, do so only during the sale when it's like twenty dollars. Other than that it's not worth it.

Got the old packaging of Bombshell Intense during SAS. I can definitely see why some reviewers recommend this for winter and fall. It is a sweet, decadent, strong fruity fragrance. It opens with fruits of the forest (I actually don't detect cherry alone, but I could be wrong). The vanilla base is strong and most long lasting of the three notes, and is a creamy, rich vanilla. I can see wearing this around the holidays... it's a lot for summer. I am excited to wear this as it gets chilly out!

I'm so happy I got Bombshell Intense on sale in-store; seriously, it is stunning.

I've been on the hunt for a cherry/vanilla perfume that primarily smells of cherry/vanilla and not a bunch of other notes, and Bombshell Intense is everything I'd hoped for. It's just so warm, fizzy, and the perfect amount of sweet! I definitely agree with the cherry vanilla soda comparison some reviewers have made here, but it's even more delicious than that in my opinion. It lasts longer on me than other VS perfumes do, and I think it's perfect for mild fall and winter, day or night. As far as where to wear it, I'd say it's especially ideal for parties or a cozy date!

I can't wait to spritz this on when it starts to get chilly. I don't think it surpasses Very Sexy Sea as my favorite VS fragrance, but it's definitely a close second. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a cherry/vanilla and you find it on sale!

aqua76239

this is retaining original Bombshell DNA but adding cherries and vanilla. I don''t get very obvious "canned cherry in your face" here, its subtle and warm, and with vanilla giving that extra sweetness, its just enough for me to like it. I like the original Bombshell and this scent is a decent flanker. I haven't tried it on my hand, just on paper strip but I am considering getting it, if it goes down in price on semi annual sale(usually all flankers get discounted then). Its not anything original but this is nice scent

Sweet, medium sillage, lasting power could have been better. Reminiscent of Perfum De La Cours Vampire (Walmart discontinued). This might be of any help for those that have smelled Vampire. The cherry note and that woodsiness of the fragrance remind me of Lolita Lempicka (the Original). Blind buy. I watched a review and was sold. I knew I would love it.

I don't find it candy sweet, a little bit more like Decadence. You know, ambery (not powdery), sweet, fruity, woody. I find this oriental vanilla and
fruity but you can confuse it for a gourmand.

Miaharley7

Smells like Cherry Vanilla Coke. My husband purchased a little gift set for Christmas one year as a stocking stuffer. I never really reached for it until I became pregnant, my fragrance preferences change due to hormones and I started to love this! I layer the lotion and spray to help with longevity, obviously I don't have the greatest expectations for longevity but i still love it and don't mind reapplying. Sweet, sexy, fruity, and I think good for someone who wants to start wearing gourmand scents. I usually prefer fresh/fruity white florals so this for me is a little out of the norm.

Ruby Cat

I love its smell .. but it's weak and not last long .. it's overpriced as well

supergirl9412

I have a rollerball of this, so I see how my experience may not be 100% spot-on. By using a rollerball, I always thought I'd be missing out on some of those aromatic aerosols that come from a spray. Anyway, color me bummed, man. 0% cherry, 0.1% vanilla, 99.9% confusion because, on me, this is spicy green and sharp floral that settles into a scent that's somewhere in between a "new"/clean note and a band-aid. A new band-aid? I get a hint of smokiness, too. Feels masculine.

Would definitely recommend testing before buying. I'm returning the rollerball.

When I first sprayed this, I didn't detect the cherry and all I could smell was this delicious creamy vanilla or white chocolate. Then on subsequent sprays I could get that juicy cherry opening note followed by the aforementioned vanilla/white chocolate. On me, the cherry is juicy and sweet and a hint tart. I do still get small whiffs of the cherry throughout the wear time. The floral note is in the background and is subtle. It doesn't last long and is very soft/doesn't project far but it could be an everyday scent for me as i can be sensitive to smells at times. It makes me think of valentines day.

edit: I now hate this...that cherry note just grinds down my nosebuds, its unrelenting

After reading reviews here and elsewhere I got the impression this was a slightly sweet fragrance. I imagined Vanilla Cherry Coke with some peony. On paper and on my skin, this smells somewhat like original bombshell with an added note of something chypre'ish I can't identify nor is listed in the notes. Whatever it is, it actually makes it smell a bit masculine to me. I get no cherry or vanilla, a tad of peony, and the mystery base note as aforementioned. Definitely more "clean" and to my nose not a bit sweet at all. The reviews below almost sound like we're smelling two different versions and I wonder if the formula was tweaked as there are two bottles / styles floating around right now. I tested the more recent bottle with the font all the same. Sillage is very soft, it lasted maybe two hours, and washed off pretty easily so no worries of being overpowering. If you like the original Bombshell this might be a good flanker for you!

Lbc19005

This smells like a cherry and vanilla scent as described. The cherries in here aren't sugared, tart, or juicy like in some cherry scents but they are fruity, creamy, and sweet. The vanilla in this scent smells like sweet white chocolate. I love it. It does not smell anything like the original Bombshell, if that's what you are looking for. This is its own scent, and it smells even better to me. A sophisticated sugary sweet scent. Yum! Think cherries and cream with white chocolate. Great for fall, winter, and date nights. This smells very similar to Britney Spears Fantasy. If you like that, you will like this. This could be Fantasy's sister. I own this in the fine fragrance mist and I often layer it with the Fantasy Perfume.

flyingfish90

Lovely spicy cherry-vanilla scent! I knew when I first smelled it, it would be a great cold-weather perfume. Mostly at night but I think ok during the day too. It's warm and delicious. Yes, it's simple but that's ok! not everything has to have 100 notes in it (no shade to original bombshell which I also love lol).

MrsTefee

I like vs scents because they are easy going and dont give me headaches! This one is nice. Its cherry, its vanilla, its musky. Right up my alley! Great for cold weather months. This is a 'date night' fragrance.

Mwalton

This is nice cherry vanilla scent. I dont think anyone buying VS thinks they are getting groundbreaking or complex scents so I think you get exactly what you should expect. I think it is an enjoyable crowd pleasing scent. I have had a hard time finding a cherry scent where the cherry lasts on my skin. I recently found Scandal by night was the first to have the cherry last & now this. So I am pleased with it.

LibraMoon

Just purchased this. It does not smell like the other two Bombshells at all. This one does smell like the notes, cherry, peony, and vanilla. Has a similar smell to Victoria's Secret fragrance called Rush. I also have Rush, compared them side-to-side and they're almost identical. The only difference is that this fragrance is a little bit sweeter than Rush. I definitely like this fragrance, and it is easy to wear. This also smell similar to Bath & Body Works velvet sugar and pink chiffon. Sillage and longevity is just okay, not the greatest. I also own the other two bombshells, and like them as well.

KennedyH

Super linear cherry scent that you really cannot fault. At first it kind of smelled like cologne but it really is dark cherry with the slightest bit of vanilla. Love layering this with Bare Vanilla body spray from VS as well! Delicious combo ;)

Does Bombshell Intense smell anything like Cherry in the Air by Escada? No. Does that mean it's bad? Also no!

I LOVE Cherry in the Air by Escada so I figured I would grab this on the off chance it really was similar given how hard Cherry in the Air is to find nowadays. Now that I've tried Bombshell Intense I can say definitively that they are not similar at all (not even in the same universe really). Bombshell Intense is a lovely fruity sweet vanilla whereas Cherry in the Air is a juicy cherry. It is calming, makes me happy & super easy to wear and inoffensive. The name is a bit odd as it does not feel necessarily "intense" to me but... who cares haha!

All in all, I am very happy to have Bombshell Intense in my collection but would 100% recommend buying it on Ebay/Poshmark/Mercari/etc. as it is not necessarily worth the prices that Victoria's Secret charges for it.

delores011

Woah Woah, I think people are really HARSH when it comes to reviewing this perfume. It's simple, yes. It's sexy, yes. It's very subtle and not loud or in your face. I RECOMMEND getting the lotion as well and spray the parfum on top.

It's buildable and simple. Sorry not sorry. It's nice to get and wear on a night out with your partner.

Marisat

The cherry smell is fun and youthful, but it's pretty poor quality. Sticks to skin and is gone in 10 minutes, if I wore this I would definitely need to reapply multiple times.

jreyes366

Lately, Victoria's Secret has been disappointing me. They got rid of their secret garden series body wash, body butter, eau de toilette and body scrubs. I also feel that they watered down the formulas as well.

However, I really like this scent and they carry more body care products in this line.

The body spray doesn't last as long as I'd want it to but I find it to be really nice. I feel it does smell similar to the original Bombshell but it is not identical.

To me, it smells woody and fruity and a bit of a vanilla base. It is not my absolute favorite but it's great for putting on whenever you don't know what to wear.

CherriedEmpress

I have to agree with most of the other reviewers here. Bombshell Intense = soapy, medicinal Bombshell. That's really all it is. I don't smell cherry. There is about as much vanilla as the original Bombshell contains, which is almost none. This a a peony-dominated fragrance, just like the original.

Bombshell Intense is not sweet. It is not a gourmand. It smells like medicinal laundry detergent.

This smells nothing like Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck Enchanted. That one IS gourmand, and a very heavy one. Don't know what the similarities could possibly be between Bombshell Intense and Wonderstruck Enchanted.

Disappointed and waiting for VS to hit the mark and make a hands-down quality fragrance, which, nowadays, they do every year or two. They have been selling Love for over two years, which is a very pretty fragrance... the most recent quality fragrance they've offered. Unfortunately, those are becoming fewer and father between.

I<3Perfume

This has the Bombshell DNA. The whole bombshell collection is clean. This is more of a Sweet Clean Gourmand. Wheres as the Original is Fruity Clean and Seduction is Fresh Floral Clean.

chicagogirl

This definitely does NOT have the Bombshell DNA. Dont know what others are sniffing lol but it's a unique, pretty scent in its own right. Not a fan of cherry notes because they remind me of cough medicine but in this one it's a subtle, pretty gourmand. The vanilla and peony balance it out.

sibaraa

This is definitely more mature comparing it to the original. Overall, it smells great and sophisticated.

FireFlySF

This is more like a cherry bomb fragrance. I actually like it better than the original Bombshell, as it does not have the "harsh" citrus tone found in Bombshell. It has Bombshell's DNA but then went right to cherry quickly, and later combined with vanilla and stayed that way to the end. Sillage is between heavy and enormous. Longevity is just about 3-4 hours.

Elsee

I had to try this today! And I must say, it's very nice. Simple cherry vanilla and just a hint of the Bombshell DNA. Nothing groundbreaking but it's a happy scent! :)

sweetpunkin

This reminds me of Escada's "Cherry in the air" with undertones of the original Bombshell. Is it groundbreaking? No, but I do enjoy it. The bottle is gorgeous and reminds me of Christmas. It only lasts about 2 hours on my skin though.

aqua76239

I was not expecting much, so I can't say I was disappointed. Its basically same old Bombshell but slightly deeper. Cherry note is really faint to me and like most VS fragrances, I find that this doesn't last well. Most Bombshell frankers are basically clones of the original with very slight variations. To each their own but I wouldn't bother with this

Sailor Pluto

Maybe I don't understand what a "Chypre" perfume is.. can someone explain how this is classified as a Chypre with only fruity, floral and vanilla notes?! Don't chypres need to have oakmoss or patchouli in them or something?!

Whit

Eh, it's ok. To my nose, it still retained much of the original Bombshell's DNA. I didn't get much cherry or vanilla in it at all. I agree with Beth C, if you're looking for a good cherry/vanilla combo, get Cartier's Delices. I will say though, I sniffed the body lotion to this and it actually DID have more cherry/vanilla in it vs the perfume.

What can I say, it's a VS perfume, so don't expect much.

KylieBooFace

I was disappointed by Bombshell Intense. The vivid cherry red and black bottle design was incredibly alluring and evoked images of maraschino cherries, or at least vivid red fresh cherries. It's a mild like. It seems almost indistinguishable from the original Bombshell without the passionfruit. I do like the original Bombshell, but it is not my favorite due to its lack of sweetness. As a personal bias, I must have a fresh, non-indolic "sweetness" in my fragrances.

As a cherry-vanilla fan, I can say the cherry and vanilla are super faint, and the floral aspect is overwhelming to the point of soapiness. I could maybe wear this if I wanted to smell fresh, but the soapy florals annoyed me after a while.

Experiment idea: Maybe I can layer Demeter Cherry Cream with original Bombshell and see if that produces the desired results.

Also, I found the new Cherry Pop fragrance mist at VS smells like a cheap Eau So Sexy. Odd how scent palates read. Some of the mists (not based on the perfumes) can legit smell like nail polish remover, so I stick to the Eau de Parfums...

Beth C

This is a negative review. As with most things in Victoria's Secret, the hype and price do not match the quality one receives, which is the reason why I no longer shop there. I took a chance on this perfume because the notes looked good, but it's neither intense nor especially unique. Some sickly sweet medicinal cherry at the top, followed by a sort of "urine" note, a peony that stings my nose and smells synthetic, and then more sickly sweet vanilla. It smells just like a cherry lollipop. A "Bombshell" it is not. The only bombshell is the one I got when I looked at the outrageous price they are asking for what basically amounts to sugar water! Nothing "Intense" to be found here; nothing sexy--not even sensual. Move along!!! I had to scrub it.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and just get Cartier Delices Eau de Parfum. Way longer lasting, way better quality, and a WAY better cherry!

I<3Perfume

Say what you want but that bottle looks incredibly Sexy! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

lmwimsatt

Yuck. Not sure why this is considered a chypre

Blueangel51

Tried this on today and it has the same DNA undertone as Bombshell, This was a turn off for me, because I don't particularly care for Bombshell. This was described as having far different notes. I must say, I like the cherry vanilla dry down once the bombshell scent fades. Worth a try ladies. Wish VS would get a new nose in their perfume department though.
